Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan will come together again after five years (their last release being "OSO" in 2007) in the film "Happy New Year", directed by Farah.
Says a source, "After the fight SRK had with Farah's husband Shirish Kunder at Sanjay Dutt's party in February, the duo patched up. They even met a few times at home after that. It was during one of Farah's visits to Mannat that they talked about working together again. Before SRK left for a 40-day schedule to London for his next film, Farah narrated the script and he instantly said yes. Apart from his wife Gauri, SRK's close friends Kaajal Anand and Karan Johar have been instrumental in bringing the warring duo back together."
Adds the source, "Farah even went to London for two days recently to seal the dates and complete other formalities. The film is being touted as the baap of "Main Hoon Naa" and will be a wholesome entertainer."
Why They Fell Out
The former best buddies parted ways personally and professionally some years ago when SRK kept Shirish's film hanging for five years, before ultimately deciding not to do it. Farah took it personally. Things got worse when she cast Akshay Kumar in "Tees Maar Khan" and announced it without informing Shah Rukh, which obviously did not go down well with him.
Matters came to a head when late last year, post the release of "RA.One", Shirish posted sarcastic comments about the film on his social networking page, irking SRK. The duo then got into that infamous fight at Dutt's party, followed by a tearful reunion at Shah Rukh's home a day later, where they hugged and made up.
Looks like all is truly well between them now, and they are expected to announce the film once Shah Rukh returns from London.
