Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja's new movie Daruvu is Ready to release on May 18. Earlier, the makers have planned to release the movie on May 4 but as the post production formalities taking more time than expected they have decided to release on May 18, says sources.

8 Congress LS AP MPs suspended over Telangana

The ruling Congress on Tuesday had eight of its own members from Telangana region hangs down from the Lok Sabha for four days for repeat disrupt the work of the house over the requirement for a separate state, the first time in parliamentary history that the ruling party members have been suspended in a group.

The action came on the first day of the second part of the Budget Session. The last week of the first phase, which ended March 30 vanished over the same issue. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal moved the motion seeking their suspension, which was adopted by a voice vote. Previously warned Francisco Sardinha, who was in the chair, agitating MPs of action if they do not return to their seats. Ponnam Prabhakar, Goud Yaskhi Madhu, M. Jagannadham, Komatreddy Rajagopal Reddy, G. Viveknanda, Balram Naik, gutta Sukhender and S. Reddy Rajaiah was suspended MPs.

After a series of flop films and at a very crucial stage of his career now, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja will soon hit the silver screen with his another out and out mass film, 'Daruvu'. This time the Actor is again teaming up with Taapsee after this combo did not manage to sizzle in the earlier release 'Veera'. The movie is soon going to hit the theaters.

Prior to the audio launch in the evening, in the afternoon, the Dancers along with the team of RJ's of 93.5 RED FM, Hyderabad's Number One FM Station have done a flash Mob performance of 5 minutes on all the song bits of ‘Daruvu’, in City Center Mall, Hyderabad.

Along with this idea of promoting a movie through a prevailing concept of flash mob, heroine Tapsee's presence during this event also turned out to be a highlight. And the songs of the film were quite catchy enough…

Super Star Mahesh Babu’s 2012 Pongal released film Businessman will complete its 100 days of run on April 21. Businessman has been directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Venkat on RR Movie Makers. Kajal played the leading lady. The film has been released in record number of theaters.
On this eve, Mahesh said, “I felt happy to team up with Jagan again after Pokiri and am glad that Businessman turned a good hit in my career. Surya Bhai character in the film earned stunning response and people are calling me Surya Bhai after the Businessman.”

Sunny Leone using growing popularity to sell porn?

Amid speculations about Sunny Leone trying hard to sanitise her porn star image, what comes as a shock is that the adult film actress is still busy selling her porn films. 

Born in a Punjabi family in Canada, this lady moved to the US to initiate her career in the porn industry and since then has become a huge name. Though she has publicly admitted that she had no inhibitions accepting she is a porn star, crew members of her Bollywood flick ‘Jism 2’ are making desperate attempts to detach her past from her.


Sunny is still busy tweeting about her adult films. Moreover, a leading daily has also revealed that she is indeed capitalizing on the success she has garnered in India post her ‘Bigg Boss 5’ stint and is still uploading raunchy videos of hers on her official website even now.

Kamal Haasan to take up brand endorsements

Mumbai: For the first time in his 50 years of illustrious career, veteran actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan will take up brand endorsements.

The 57-year-old has signed up with celebrity and talent sourcing and management firm Alliance Media and Entertainment Private Ltd for the purpose.

"Kamal Haasan is a truly global Indian icon -- a great actor, writer and film maker, who is immensely respected not only for his strong contribution to cinema, but also for his significant initiatives to help the underprivileged," Sunil Doshi, Founder and MD, Alliance Media & Entertainment Pvt Ltd said in a statement.

Doshi said the actor has certain plans for his work in social service, but is also unwilling to rely on external sources of funding those plans.

"Therefore, he feels that endorsements with leading companies and brands that have a strong commitment to society and causes would be an appropriate and independent means of fulfilling his vision," Doshi said.

Haasan said that he had signed with Alliance Media, because he believes it provides strategic counsel to several top celebrities and personalities.

"I look forward to yet another first that of brand endorsement -- in my creative life, and to keep being able to do my bit for society," he said.

"We shall soon announce which brand Kamal Haasan will be endorsing. He is known for his ideals and principles, and needless to say, we shall advise him to pick a brand that fits with his values and stature, and will have a campaign to match," Doshi said.

Mumbai: Emraan Hashmi bid adieu to smoking a long time back but little did the actor knew he would have to chew tobacco soon. To play a foul-mouthed reporter in Dibakar Banerjee`s ‘Shanghai’, he had to re-start the habit.

On the first day of the shoot, Emraan was asked to chew tobacco for a scene and it was not a pleasant experience. Tobacco left him with such a distaste that Emraan almost threw up and felt giddy. 

The director insisted that since his role required him to do it, there was no other way out. After a lot of discussions, Banerjee and Emraan came to the conclusion that the actor should chew tobacco

Hyderabad: Curfew on in old city

HYDERABAD: Curfew continued in the riot-hit areas of the old city of Hyderabad for the third consecutive day on Tuesday, with the situation remaining tense but under control.

People in curfew bound areas under Madannapet and Saeedabad police station limits are reeling under the shortage of essential commodities. Daily wage earners are the worst hit.

Though police on Monday night announced that there would be relaxation in curfew between 12 noon and 2pm on Tuesday, the same was withdrawn.

The indefinite curfew was imposed on Sunday after communal clashes broke out following the desecration of a place of worship at Madannapet.

Police remained on high alert following the desecration of three more places of worship at Narayanguda and Kachiguda, both outside curfew-bound areas. A tense situation prevails across the old city due to sporadic incidents of violence.

An uneasy calm prevails in the densely populated neighbourhoods around the historic Charminar and Mecca Masjid as a sense of fear grips people. Business in the centuries-old markets in the old city has been badly hit.

Many people are apprehensive to go out for work and their daily chores outside the old city. Most of the buses of state-owned Road Transport Corporation are off the roads and only a few auto-rickshaws are plying.

Police Commissioner AK Khan has announced that prohibitory orders, banning the assembly of four or more people, would continue till April 14 in the city. Pillion riding on motorbike has also been banned during night hours.

Residents in the interior areas of old city are complaining that they are facing a tough time due to barbed wires erected by police on many roads.

Maverick director Teja’s upcoming romantic action entertainer ‘Neeku Naaku Dash Dash’ has completed its censor formalities and the movie has received an A certification from the censor board. Strong language, very violent scenes and a few sleazy references caused this rating to be given, as per sources.
The movie is all set to hit the screens this 12th and Teja has made the film completely with newcomers. Yashwanth Nag has scored the music and Bhavya creations banner is the producer. Teja is banking heavily on this movie to regain his form.

Prabhu Deva steals show at trailer launch of 'Rowdy Rathore'

Director Prabhu Deva was the show stealer at the trailer launch of his film ‘Rowdy Rathore’. The trailer of the film was launched in a different way unlike other films. It was launched in an open maidan at Worli.

Despite the presence of stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, the crowd went gaga over Prabhu Deva. Prabhu on public demand was asked to show his dance moves. Prabhu danced with Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha as the crowd applauded his act with claps and whistles and cheers. Akshay Kumar, who is making a comeback in his action zone with ‘Rowdy Rathore’, said he feels like a newcomer again.

"I am very excited about the film because I am making a comeback in action films after seven years. I am in this film industry because of my action films. It feels like I am a new comer who is trying action for the first time," Akshay Kumar said.

Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and directed by Prabhu Deva, the film features Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. The film is scheduled to release on June 1, 2012.

Another youth commits suicide for Telangana cause

Karimnagar: Barely a week after an MBA student from Warangal in Andhra Pradesh ended his life over separate Telangana state, a 23-year-old youth from the district has allegedly committed suicide over "inaction" on part of politicians from the region in pursuing the cause, sources said on Sunday.
L Nagaraju of Seethampet village under Mutharam police station limits, jumped to death before a moving train from a railway overbridge last night at Peddapalli, 35km from Karimnagar, family members said.
"Nagaraju was upset over the inaction on part of political leaders from Telangana region in carving out the separate state. He had expressed his anguish on many occasions. Last morning he left the house in a huff. We got a call from his mobile phone in the night, saying he was going to end his life for Telangana," they said.

Meanwhile, Government Railway Police (GRP) has registered a case of suicide into the incident.
"We have registered a case of suicide and are investigating the matter," Ramkundam Station House Officer (SHO) Sambaiah told PTI without elaborating further.
According to sources, the FIR registered by the GRP is silent on the cause of Nagaraju's death.
